The eyes are probably the first thing people notice in this painting — and that was exactly my intention. The cat itself is painted in darker tones and softly blends into the background, allowing the golden eyes to stand out more strongly and create a greater sense of depth.
The warm golden tones bring a subtle warmth into the artwork, while the rest of the painting intentionally remains calm and rather cool. Because of this balance, the piece does not feel loud or overwhelming, but instead atmospheric and quietly present.
