This fine art print features a Pallas’s cat with golden eyes, surrounded by soft transitions of grey, misty blue, and warm earthy tones. The artwork belongs to my Kasumi series, which is inspired by Japanese aesthetics, nature, and a more quiet, restrained visual language.
What mattered most to me in this piece was the atmosphere. The background remains open and soft, while finer details were carefully developed around the animal’s face. This creates a calm contrast between texture and open space.
The delicate grasses and slightly misty mood make the Manul appear as though it is gently emerging from the painting itself. Depending on the light and surroundings, the print subtly changes its effect and blends especially beautifully into natural, bright, or minimalist interiors.
